The Oyo State Branch of NIS had the 7th edition of L.L Ali annual lecture the 3rd since the exit of the great icon and father of the profession from the Pace Setter State, on Wednesday 16 August 2023 at NIS Plaza, Ikolaba, Ibadan Oyo State.

The theme of lecture “Dynamics of underdevelopment in Africa: Exit of Professional to advanced Nations”, was well disected by the Chairman of the event, erudite scholar cum politician Prof. (Mrs) Remi Sonaiya, former Presidential Candidate of KOWA Party who used the event to call for accountability and sacrifice from elected leaders. NIS President Surv. Dr. M.O Ibitoye, fnis who led the presence of eminent Surveyors and other dignitaries at the event enjoined Surveyors to embrace modern technologies, for in it lies great prospects and a panacea to capital flight.

NIS Chairman Oyo State Branch Surv. Waheed Abiodun Lamidi, used to occasion to encourage professions to appreciate and honour the efforts of the heroes past, as being done to Late Surv. LL Ali and other great Surveyors.
